Our Vision: to create a network of local Pastors and Marriage Champions that will help restore the institution of marriage in South Florida. (Get Involved!)
Our Purpose: to prepare couples for marriage, provide opportunities for marriage enrichment, & identify solutions for restoration with hopes to significantly reduce the divorce rate (62.4%) in Palm Beach County.
Our Priority: to promote lasting marriages and spiritually healthy families. By signing the Palm Beach County Healthy Marriage Initiative (CMP) we agree to provide county wide standards for marriage, helping to reduce the divorce rate and offer support to the marriages and families in our community. Palm Beach County Healthy Marriage Initiative Clergy agree to the following to impact the marriages and families in our community:
1. We will promote a healthy and biblical model of marriage.
2.We will require a minimum of 4 months of preparation.
3.We will promotes sexual abstinence outside of marriage.
4.We will present the negative impact of cohabitation on marriage.
5. We will require a minimum of 4 premarital sessions (scripture & assesment).
6. We will enrich existing marriages with marriage enrichment opportunities.7. We will offer courses to reconcile the separated or abandoned.
8. We will enlist, train, and equip Marriage Mentors for engaged couples, newlyweds, and those experiencing marital difficulties.9. We will create Stepfamily Support Groups to provide a place of prayer, encouragement and hope to stepfamilies.
10. We will partner with other congregations and organizations to share resources and create a positive climate in which marriages can thrive.
